Continuing its FWD Sport earphones line, Adidas has released a second-generation device that does away with the neckband that was used in the first.
The Adidas FWD-02 Sport earphones are truly wireless, and they are part of the company’s fitness-centric Z.N.E. 01 range, which complements the earbuds.
The buds, which are primarily intended for runners of all levels, are IPX5 sweatproof and have a “force touch” interface that allows for media control regardless of the weather conditions.
A permeable mesh fabric lid on the charging case lets water or perspiration evaporate and escape while the buds are being charged.
The headphones come with interchangeable ear tips and wings to guarantee that they have a snug fit when exercising.
From a technological point of view, the FWD-02 Sport has a total battery life of 25 hours – six hours in the buds, and another 19 hours in the case.
On top of that, the buds have an awareness mode that lets in ambient sounds to assist you in keeping track of your surroundings while running. You may also turn it off if you only want to listen to music.
“The needs of today’s runner has changed in many ways. Runners are more frequently interacting with media and apps so they require more intuitive and reliable input methods. Due to gym closures or personal preference, many runners are spending more time than ever running outside, regardless of the elements,” said Ella Renneus, designer at Zound Industries, the manufacturer behind the Adidas headphones range.
The Adidas FWD-02 Sport true wireless earbuds are now available for purchase in the United States for $169.
