Best Wireless Headphones Under $100 in 2021

Best Wireless Headphones Under $100

Over the past few years, Bluetooth headphones have become more and more common, to the point where it’s now harder to find headphones with a wire rather than headphones without one. While many people are looking to Bluetooth headphones due to their phone not having an audio jack, many others just like the idea of ditching cumbersome cords that can get in the way and become tangled. While Bluetooth earphones used to come attached to a much higher price tag, they’ve now become common enough that you can get impressively decent Bluetooth headphones for under $100. It’s worth noting that Bluetooth still has some limitations, primarily in regards to latency and microphone quality, so if you want a pair of wireless headsets for gaming or for watching TV from the couch without wires, you’ll likely like to look to a pair of wireless headphones that use a dedicated transmitter as opposed to a Bluetooth connection.

1. Jabra Elite 65t

Jabra Elite 65t Earbuds

Best Over-all

The Jabra Elite 65t offer a mature design, excellent battery life, balanced sound, and most importantly, reliability. They’re not cheap, but when viewed as a complete package, we think they’re worth every penny.

The Jabra Elite 65t is a perfect balance of usability, features, and sound quality. These headphones offer a reliable connection and are a pleasure to use day-to-day, plus their long battery life means you won’t be fishing for the charging case as often as the competition. Its design and fit aren’t perfect, but the Jabra Elite 65t do so much right that we can forgive its minor issues.

The earbuds automatically turn on when removed from the case, which not all truly wireless earbuds do. The earbuds also turn themselves off when placed back in the charging case – a huge benefit for folks who forget to turn off electronics when they’re done using them.

Wireless performance is excellent. The headphones connected to our phone immediately and rarely stuttered. You can use one earbud at a time, though note that the right earbud acts as the master so use it when you want to take calls with a single earbud. And when you’re ready to go back to a stereo listening experience, taking the left earbud out of the charging situation connects the two immediately.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds are very good for neutral listening thanks to their remarkably well-balanced sound user profile. Bass is deep and punchy without overpowering vocals, and instruments while treble is clear and bright without sounding harsh or sharp. Their ANC feature is also suitable for commuting and to use at the office. However, they feel flimsy due to their plastic build, and like most over-ears, they won’t be the best option for sports because of their bulky design. On the upside, they have less latency than the average Bluetooth headphones, which is good for watching videos. They also have a comfortable fit but might not be ideal for people with small heads since the headband is quite large.

While they’re fairly standard truly wireless in-ears, they provide good value overall thanks to their well-balanced sound profile, well-built design, and decently comfortable fit. With their stability fins on they feel very stable in the ear, though unfortunately, the fins can sometimes prevent contact with the case’s charging pins, so you may think they’re charging when they aren’t. While their 5.7-hour battery life is better than most true wireless headphones at this price point, it’s much shorter than the 8 hours TaoTronics advertises.

Their sound profile is versatile enough for most genres, and they’re a good choice for taking to the gym thanks to their stable fit and IPX7 rating, though we don’t currently test this. They have an outstanding 18.4-hour battery life, and they do a good job at helping block out ambient chatter as well, making them a decent option for using in the office.

Urbeats3 Wired Earphones

Beats by Dr. Dre urBeats3 are 3.5mm connector-equipped, in-ear headphones designed to provide lifestyle convenience and full-range frequency reproduction for musicians, music lovers, casual listeners, and athletes traveling, performing, exercising, or meditating

The Beats urBeats3 are straightforward in-ear headphones that have a decent sound and pretty good microphone recording quality. However, they don’t necessarily stand out from other in-ears as they have a similar fit to most, which isn’t comfortable for everyone. They are stable and breathable for sports and are quite versatile for commuting as well since they block a good amount of ambient noise. Nevertheless, the in-line remote volume controls don’t work on Android devices, which could be a deal-breaker for some. On the upside, they come with fins for even more stability. Their buds are magnetic, which is convenient to wear around your neck and keep the cable untangled.

On the upside, they have good 17-hour battery life and isolate well against work environment noises, but won’t be the ideal choice for public transit. They’re decent all-around headphones and offer good value, but don’t necessarily stand out from other similar in-ears.

12. Creative Outlier Gold

These earbuds have exceptional battery life and reproduce seemingly realistic sound, with a similar effect as 3D audio. If you don’t mind last year’s form factor and want a great pair of value true wireless earbuds, Creative is a hard company to outshine.

The Creative Outlier Air are decent-sounding truly wireless headphones that have a very bulky design. They are quite comfortable, but people with smaller ears might feel too much pressure being put inside the ear. The overall build quality of the headphones and case are good and feel sturdy. These headphones offer about 8 hours of continuous playback time, which is quite high for a truly wireless design. Unfortunately, they don’t block out much ambient noise in the lower end frequencies, like the sound of a bus engine, and won’t be the best option for commuting. Nevertheless, they offer great overall value if you don’t mind pushing the buds deeper into your ear when using their controls.
